The most important work of the cinematographer is in pre-production. Deciding how to tell the story correctly. Each and every
story has its own particular way. The film should play in your mind as you read the script for the first time, and this is
when the visual dramaturgy, pace and color palette will manifest themselves.
I’m an Oslo based cinematographer with background in documentaries. The flexibility and intuitiveness required in the
documentary process are strengths in fiction film as well. It’s outside-the-box-thinking and a closeness to the story.
Since graduating the University of the Creative Arts in 2002 I have been involved in numerous projects, spanning from short
films and commercials, documentaries and coorperate films to fiction feature films. I have extensive experience with all
cameras, formats and workflows.
